Post Adoption and other services Post adoption support As a voluntary adoption agency we do not have a statutory duty to provide post adoption services, but we are here to provide advice and support and are able to listen if you are in need of help. We do not pretend to have all the answers but if we can not provide adequate help we would be able to direct you to more specialist post adoption organisations. You may need assistance with dealing your child about the past when the time is right, and remember all parents experience some difficult behaviour from children at some time. If your child is adopted you will not escape having to deal with behaviours such as temper tantrums, lying, sulking and possibly stealing. Birth Parents Parents who relinquished a child for adoption some years ago may want to share their feelings. At Adoption Matters Northwest there is always someone who is willing to listen and offer support Why not contact us? Adopted people People who have been adopted often want to share their feelings. At Adoption Matters Northwest we can offer an informal chat, support, specialist advice or information about birth records, the implications of tracing birth relatives and the Adoption Contact Register. Why not Contact us If you wish to remain in contact with the agency to get involved with our events or for advice and assistance please keep us informed of your current address and we will be happy to keep you involved with our organisation.
